Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our Noida, Uttar Pradesh team. You will administer SAP S/4HANA/ECC landscapes across development, QA and production, handle installations, upgrades, patches, and transports, and coordinate with DB and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer SAP S/4HANA/ECC landscapes across development, QA, and production environments.
• Perform SAP system installation, configuration, refresh, kernel upgrades, and patch management.
• Manage system start/stop, transport management, spool administration, background jobs, and user administration.
• Support SAP implementation, upgrade, migration, and conversion projects.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution to ensure high availability and stability.
• Coordinate SAP database administration with DB teams or independently where applicable.
• Work on system copies, backups, recovery support, and disaster recovery planning.
• Support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAP Cloud Connector administration.
• Maintain security-related Basis activities including roles coordination, SSL certificates, and RFC connections.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams for environment support.
• Ensure proper documentation, compliance with operational procedures, and adherence to SAP best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems and landscape support.
• Knowledge of SAP installation, upgrades, patching, transport management, and system refresh activities.
• Familiarity with SAP database administration concepts.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and Cloud Connector.
• Understanding of SAP Solution Manager, monitoring tools, and system performance analysis.
• Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of SAP Basis experience, depending on role level.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or support projects.
• SAP Basis, SAP HANA, or S/4HANA certification is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for SAP hosting is an added advantage.
