Job summary

Cencora seeks an experienced SAP Basis professional to manage SAP landscapes, architect HA setups, and drive cloud deployments on Azure. You will partner with infrastructure teams and participate in IT Change Management to ensure stable operations across ECC, S/4HANA, and BTP environments.

The role emphasizes SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration to support global engagements and transitions to Cloud ALM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• 4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience in application support or system/application/database administration.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for SAP Basis issues related to the SAP environment.
• Architect HA setups for SAP HANA and Central Services, including Azure deployments.
• Lead SAP BTP integrations and ensure performance tuning across environments.
• Coordinate with Server/Compute/Security teams and participate in IT Change Management.

Job Details

• 7+ years of overall experience
• Primary point of contact for all SAP Basis issues related to the SAP environment and performs related duties as assigned.
• Exposure to SAP landscapes (ECC, S4HANA, Solman, PI/PO, LVM, RMJ, Router, CC) across on-premises, public and private cloud environments, mostly Azure.
• Good understanding of SLES and RHEL and ability to architect HA setup involving Linux Pacemaker and similar supported HA solutions for SAP HANA DB and SAP Central Services
• work closely with infrastructure teams (Server, compute, security) to troubleshoot and resolve problems and suggest best practices of running SAP workloads in Azure.
• Understanding of SAP Networking requirements involving, External and Internal connectivity to SAP and other applications using Proxy, Load Balancer, Application g/w, creating requests to get Firewall rules and NSG rules needed by the application.
• Provide performance tuning, problem analysis for SAP instances. Ideally cloud based deployment experience mostly Azure.
• Will participate in the IT Change Management process and validate/approval all SAP related changes.
• Good communication skills, Ability to work in a team and work flexible hours to support engagements in different time zones.
• BTP Platform knowledge in areas of configuration, integration, SSO, create subaccounts etc. including in depth knowledge of SAP BTP services (CPI, MRM, event mesh).
• Experience with SAP BTP services, SAP Integration suite and SAP extension suite.
• Design and implement integration between SAP BTP and other SAP or non-SAP systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest SAP BTP technologies and drive innovation by proposing new tools and technologies.
• Provide ongoing support for SAP BTP applications, resolving technical issues and ensuring optimal performance.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of applications on SAP BTP, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Exposure to Cloud ALM and transition from Solman to Cloud ALM.
• BTP certification – Added advantage.
• HANA expertise : provide expert level guidance on SAP HANA database administration, High availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), performance tuning, security, workload, and data volume management.
• Good exposure in HANA Database upgrades, table partitioning, pacemaker clusters.
• Handle HANA troubleshooting: HANA replication, participate in failover/failback drills, slow queries, expensive statements, table growth, log segment issues, backup failure.
• HANA Certification – added advantage.
• Experience with large scale SAP deployments On-Prem and cloud, Migrations to Cloud.
• Understanding of SAP Networking requirements involving, External and Internal connectivity to SAP and other applications using Proxy, LoadBalancer, Application g/w, creating requests to get Firewall rules and NSG rules needed by the application.
• Ability to lead projects independently and create runbooks, project plans, and engage stakeholders efficiently.
• Create Architecture diagrams, HLD, LLD and document the overall solution.
• Sound knowledge of all BASIS activities Refresh, Upgrades, Certificates etc.
• Familiar with RISE with SAP operating model and "shared responsibility" boundaries.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
