Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a SAP AI/ML Developer for the Hyderabad, India area to design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions within SAP landscapes. You will translate business requirements into scalable applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure robust data pipelines and model deployment pipelines.

The role requires 8-13 years of software development experience with AI/ML, proficiency in Python/Java/Node.js/Scala, and familiarity with cloud platforms and container

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8 - 13 years of software development experience, with strong exposure to AI/ML and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, or Scala.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP Cloud Platform) and container tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data engineering, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Proficiency with software engineering best practices (CI/CD, Git, testing, modular design).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions within SAP ecosystem.
• Translate requirements into AI/ML applications leveraging SAP platforms and AI frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, SAP consultants, and stakeholders.
• Build data pipelines, training/deployment workflows, and MLOps/LLMOps processes.
• Develop AI/ML models using Python/Java/Scala and frameworks.
• Integrate AI/ML services with SAP platforms and external systems via APIs/OData.
• Create cloud-native apps or microservices using Docker/Kubernetes and deploy on cloud platforms.
• Ensure scalability and reliability using CI/CD, testing, and version control.
• Support AI/ML lifecycle from PoC to production; monitor drift and optimization.
• Contribute to architecture docs and AI roadmap discussions.
• Stay updated with SAP technologies and AI/ML trends.

SAP AI/ML Developer Job Description (Offshore 8-13 yrs.)

Day to Day job Duties

• The SAP AI/ML Developer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining AI and machine learning solutions within the SAP ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into applications and services leveraging SAP platforms, AI/ML frameworks, and integrate them into enterprise SAP landscapes.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data scientists, SAP consultants, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI/ML solutions.
• Design and build data pipelines, model training/deployment workflows, and monitoring processes (MLOps/LLMOps).
• Develop AI/ML models (predictive analytics, anomaly detection, conversational AI, generative AI) using Python, R, or Java and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Integrate AI/ML services with SAP platforms (S/4HANA, SAP BTP, AI Core, AI Launchpad) and external systems using APIs or OData.
• Develop cloud-native applications or microservices using Docker/Kubernetes and deploy on AWS, Azure, GCP, or SAP Cloud Platform.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of AI solutions using CI/CD, automated testing, and version control best practices.
• Support AI/ML lifecycle from PoC to production and manage optimization and drift detection.
• Participate in architecture documentation, design discussions, and AI/ML roadmap development.
• Stay updated with SAP intelligent technologies and emerging AI/ML trends.

Basic Qualifications: Must Have’s

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8 - 13 years of software development experience, with strong exposure to AI/ML and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, or Scala.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP Cloud Platform) and container tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Travel: This position requireslimited or No travel.

Nice to Have (but not a must)

• Deep knowledge of SAP technologies: S/4HANA, SAP BTP, AI Core, AI Launchpad, Data Intelligence, SAP Analytics Cloud.
• DevOps knowledge (CI/ CD, Jenkins, Pipeline Management)
• Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori for developing AI-enabled user interfaces.
• Hands on experience development full stack application on BTP using CAP and/or RAP frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in BTP Process Automation, RPA bot development is advantage
• SAP or AI-related certifications (e.g., SAP BTP Developer, AI Foundation).
• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
