Job summary

HCLTech is seeking SAP ABAP consultants with S/4HANA development expertise to drive a large-scale transformation. You will design, develop, and maintain SAP components, including data model enhancements, interfaces, and remediation efforts.

The role requires hands-on ABAP development, performance tuning, and deep DDIC knowledge. You will collaborate with architects and QA teams, support testing, and ensure production readiness throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA development experience.
• Advanced ABAP development, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of SAP DDIC concepts and SAP data models.
• Hands-on experience with RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, CDS Views, and OData Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Design and implement DDIC changes, including domains, data elements, structures, and database objects.
• Analyze and remediate code impacts from field-length extensions and architectural changes.
• Develop, adapt, and validate interfaces using RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, CDS Views, and OData Services.
• Perform root cause analysis, defect resolution, and code optimization activities.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and quality engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support testing, deployment validation, release readiness, and production support activities.
