Job summary

IBM is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP/RAP developer in Bengaluru to design, build, and optimize SAP applications on HANA. You will implement RAP-based solutions, create CDS views, and expose OData services, collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure high-quality, scalable SAP development practices.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in SAP ABAP, hands-on RAP experience, and expertise in CDS Views and ABAP on HANA.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in ABAP on HANA.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on RAP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of CDS Views and modern ABAP programming.
• Experience with RAP BO development, behavior definitions and implementations.
• Knowledge of OData services and service exposure.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP on HANA.
• Develop RAP-based applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Work on RAP Business Objects, CDS Views, Behavior Definitions, Behavior Implementations, and Service Definitions/Bindings.
• Develop and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views and leverage HANA capabilities.
• Implement validations, determinations, actions, and business logic in RAP.
• Develop and troubleshoot OData services and expose RAP applications.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, code reviews, and technical issue resolution.
