Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai invites experienced SAP ABAP developers for an in-person walk-in drive on 19 September 2026 at No.1/13, Old Mahabalipuram Road, Navallur, Chennai 603103. Candidates should have 5–12 years of SAP ABAP experience, including ABAP programming, Data Dictionary objects, ALV, CDS views, and interface skills (ALE/IDocs, RFCs, web services, FTP/sFTP).

The drive runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM; please attend with your resume and relevant project samples for on-site

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of SAP ABAP experience.
• Experience with Data Dictionary Objects, CDS views, and ALV.
• Proficiency in interface technologies: ALE/IDocs, RFCs, FTP/sFTP, and web services.
• Familiarity with SAPscripts, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, BDC, and LSMW.
• Willingness to attend an on-site walk-in drive in Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Develop ABAP programs and data dictionary objects.
• Create and optimize ALV reports and CDS views.
• Implement interfaces via ALE/IDocs, RFCs and web services.
• Develop forms using SAPscripts, Smartforms, and Adobe Forms.

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Experience in ABAP programming
• 2. Experience in Data Dictionary Objects including creation of Tables, Views, Domains, Data Elements, Search Helps, Lock Objects, CDS views 3. Experience in Reporting with ABAP List Viewer (ALV) using Function Modules and Object-Oriented Programming Approach
• 4. Extensive experience in ABAP/4 programming techniques like Module Pool Programming, Function Modules, BAPI’s, SAPscripts, Smartforms and Adobe Forms.
• 5. Experience in Interface technologies like ALE/IDocs, RFCs, FTP, sFTP, Web Services and Conversion Techniques like BDC’s and LSMW
• 6. Experience in ECS
