Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 7-10 years of hands-on ABAP development, CDS View Modelling, OData Services, and HANA. This hybrid role requires strong debugging, performance optimization, and cloud-ready, clean core compliant applications.

You will work in a fast-paced engineering environment, contribute to RAP-based projects, and collaborate across teams. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• ABAP/ABAP OO, CDS View Modelling, OData Services, and HANA expertise.
• Hands-on BOPF or RAP-based development experience.
• Understanding of RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model) and SAP Fiori/UI5.

Responsibilities

• Strong programming fundamentals with core ABAP concepts and hands-on ABAP/ABAP OO development.
• Hands on development in BOPF based applications and/or RAP based applications.
• Understanding/exposure to RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements and UI5.
• Experience building cloud ready and clean core compliant applications.
• Strong debugging, technical problem-solving, and performance optimization capabilities.
• Ability to independently drive development topics and work effectively in fast paced engineering environments.
• Understanding of agile development processes.
• 5+ years of software development experience.

Job Description:

• Strong programming fundamentals with deep expertise in core ABAP concepts such as modularization, debugging, ABAP Dictionary, and hands-on experience in ABAP/ABAP OO, CDS View Modelling, OData Services, and HANA
• Hands on development experience in BOPF based applications and/or RAP based applications
• Understanding/exposure to RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model)
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements and UI5
• Experience building cloud ready and clean core compliant applications
• Strong debugging, technical problem-solving, and performance optimization capabilities
• Ability to independently drive development topics and work effectively in fast paced engineering environments
• Understanding of agile development processes
• 5+ years of software development experience

Good to Have:

• Strong expertise in RAP including behaviour definitions, service exposure, and extensibility models
• Knowledge of automation test frameworks such as Vyper, OPA5, or QUnit
• Functional knowledge of Procurement/MM or related business processes
• Strong focus on extensibility, and developer efficiency in cloud product environments
• Experience in explorations or implementations related to Agentic AI and AI-assisted development approaches, including usage of LLM based developer tools and intelligent automation scenarios
