Job summary

VML Enterprise Solutions is seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect to lead architecture, design, and delivery for enterprise-scale ecommerce engagements. The role requires deep SFCC expertise, strong JavaScript/Node.js skills, and the ability to guide development teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with SFCC B2C and Demandware
• Expertise in SFRA, cartridges, controllers, ISML, OCAPI, SCAPI, hooks
• Strong JavaScript/Node.js and REST API skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Experience with AWS/Azure and serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
• Document architecture diagrams, technical design documents, integration specs
• Good understanding of ecommerce concepts: catalog, checkout, promotions, inventory, orders
• Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for SFCC B2C projects
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce solutions
• Review and govern technical designs, code quality, and best practices
• Drive integrations with OMS, CRM, Payment Gateways, ERP, PIM, Loyalty, and Marketing platforms

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect to lead architecture, design, and technical delivery for enterprise-scale ecommerce implementations and support engagements. The candidate should possess strong expertise in SFCC B2C architecture, integrations, performance optimization, and solution design, along with the ability to guide development teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for SFCC B2C Commerce projects.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Review and govern technical designs, code quality, and implementation best practices.
• Drive integrations with third-party systems such as OMS, CRM, Payment Gateways, ERP, PIM, Loyalty, and Marketing platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.

What we want from you

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware / SFCC B2C).
• Expertise in SFRA architecture, cartridges, controllers, ISML, OCAPI, SCAPI, hooks, and job frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and deployment processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and serverless integrations (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.).
• Prepare architecture diagrams, technical design documents, integration specifications, and solution blueprints.
• Good understanding of ecommerce concepts including catalog, checkout, promotions, inventory, and order management.
• Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

If you know some of this even better

• Experience with composable commerce or headless architecture.
• Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem products such as Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks.
• SFCC certifications preferred.
