Sales Executive – Universal System
As a Sales Executive at Universal System, you will be responsible for end-to-end sales and market development for our electrical and automation products for our range of mechanical products, including welding electrodes (maintenance & repair) and fabrication solutions / (Drives, Motors, PLCs, LV/MV Switchgears, etc.), focusing primarily on clients in the Steel, Metal, Power, and Mineral sectors.
Responsibilities
Market Development & Lead Generation:
- Planning and scheduling regular visits to customer sites across industries, especially Steel, Metal, Power, and Mineral sectors across Odisha and Jharkhand primarily (Pan India if need be).
- Constantly identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through on-ground visits and industry outreach.
- Maintaining consistent touchpoints to develop and grow business relationships.
- Identifying new clients and generating leads for our range of products and OEMs.
- Converting leads into business opportunities through in-depth engagement.
Product Promotion:
- Represent our range of products from different OEMs.
- Educate and promote product features to decision-makers and technical teams.
Client Relationship Management:
- Interact with customers to understand requirements, recommend appropriate products, solutions, and present product USPs.
- Prepare and submit proposals, pricing offers, and technical/product details tailored to client needs.
- Maintaining consistent touchpoints to develop and grow business relationships.
Sales Operations, Billing & Payment Coordination:
- Coordinate with internal departments (Service, Finance, Dispatch) to ensure timely delivery, invoicing, and after-sales service.
- Coordinating with the customer's finance department for invoice submission and payment follow-ups.
- Ensuring timely billing processes and tracking payments.
After-Sales Coordination:
- Supporting the service and technical team by communicating client issues or service needs.
- Staying involved in after-sales support to ensure smooth service delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-5 years in Sales and Marketing, preferably in industrial or electric segment in B2B Sales / Business Development.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense over negotiation tactics and client coordination.
- Willingness to travel extensively across industrial locations in Odisha (travel expenses reimbursed).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and email communication.
- Based in Bokaro Steel City.
Preferred
- Prior experience in selling to industries like Steel, Power, Mining, Metal, or similar B2B segments.
- Have familiarity with products such as (Drives, Motors, PLCs, LV and MV Switchgears) / (Welding electrode etc).
- Have worked with or have knowledge of leading OEMs like ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Yaskawa / (EWAC, ADOR, T & D) etc.

Note
- This is a pure field-based sales role.
- Regular travel across Jharkhand is required.
