Key Responsibilities
A. Safety Planning & Compliance
- Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, BOCW Act, IS codes, OSHA standards, and local statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update all EHS documentation and permits.
B. Site Safety Management
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure safe work practices at all work fronts.
- Enforce usage of PPE, scaffolding safety, excavation safety, working-at-height safety, and LOTO procedures.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Toolbox Talks (TBT).
C. Training & Awareness
- Organize regular EHS training sessions for workers, supervisors, and staff.
- Conduct induction training for new workers and subcontractors.
- Promote safety awareness campaigns and safety observation programs.
D. Incident Management
- Record and investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions.
- Prepare incident investigation reports using root cause analysis (RCA).
- Implement corrective measures and track closure.
E. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain safety records, checklists, permits, and audit reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly EHS reports for internal and client review.
- Ensure statutory compliance documentation is maintained (Form-VI, safety registers, etc.).
F. Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors on all HSE matters.
- Facilitate client EHS audits and ensure closure of observations.
- Liaise with government agencies for statutory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (B.Sc., Diploma/B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical is an advantage).
- 12+ years’ experience in construction (civil engineering) projects.
- Knowledge of national & international safety standards (IS codes, OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Experience in high-rise buildings, infrastructure, industrial projects is an advantage.

5. Additional Requirements

- Certification in First Aid, Fire & Emergency Response is an added benefit.
