Job summary

EY GDS Assurance India is seeking an experienced professional to lead a portfolio of engagements, guiding Assistant Managers, Seniors and Associates to deliver high-quality external assurance work in line with EY standards.

You will develop relationships with global assurance executives, embed risk management, and drive standardization of processes while mentoring teams and participating in recruitment and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
• Qualified ACCA / CPA with 7-8 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
• Articleship with other top or mid-tier accounting firms.
• Experience in a mid- or top-tier accounting firm focused on external or assurance reviews/matters.
• Experience with MNCs or larger Indian companies, preferably within a Shared Service Environment.
• Expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP or US GAAP and International assurance standards is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues in India and global teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Interest in business and commerciality.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of engagements by leading Assistant Managers, Seniors and Associates
• Ensure timely, high-quality work in line with EY methodology and engagement team expectations
• Support quality projects including pre-issuance reviews, assurance quality reviews and efficiency projects
• Develop and maintain relationships with assurance executives in the Americas and Europe

• Transition new engagements and services to GDS Assurance while maintaining service quality
• Manage workflow, allocate resources and monitor performance against standards

• Identify opportunities to improve the GDS Assurance scope of work
