Job summary

Accenture is seeking a SAP MDG-MDM Functional Consultant to contribute to end-to-end SAP MDG/MDM implementations and data-driven transformations across global clients. The role combines blueprinting, configuration, and stakeholder collaboration within the Technology Strategy & Advisory practice.

The ideal candidate brings 9+ years of SAP ERP experience, hands-on MDG mastery, and proficiency in SAP Data Services, SAC, and Datasphere.

Qualifications

• MBA from a Tier-1 institute.
• Minimum 9 years of SAP ERP experience, having led at least 1 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation project.
• Design and business blueprinting for greenfield SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, focusing on MDG/MDM as part of enterprise architecture.
• Hands-on with SAP MDG domains (Business Partner, Material, Finance) including BRF+ workflows and DRF.
• Knowledge of data migration strategies to S/4HANA using SAP Data Services.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, MDG Cloud Edition, and SAP BTP services.

Responsibilities

• Work as SAP Functional Analyst contributing to documentation for end-to-end requests for system changes, configurations, and enhancements.
• Maintain documentation to analyze client needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and optimize SAP functionalities.
• Identify, assess and solve complex business problems across SAP S4 HANA ERP landscape during the project lifecycle.
• Train end-users on SAP MDG-MDM processes and ensure system proficiency.
• Ensure system remains functional and compliant after implementation and during upgrades.
• Support clients in building capabilities for growth and innovation; mentor teammates and contribute to asset creation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Work as SAP Functional Analyst contributing to documentation for end-to-end request for system changes, configurations, and enhancements

• Train end-users on SAP MDG-MDM processes and ensure they are proficient in using the system
• Ensure the system remains functional and consistent after implementation
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and project plans during implementation
• Assisting clients to build the required capabilities for growth and innovation to sustain high performance
• Mentoring and developing our people and contributing to asset creations like project blueprints and configuration documents

Job Role Requirements

• MBA from a Tier-1 institute.
• Minimum 9 years of SAP ERP experience, having led at least 1 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation project.
• Design and business blueprinting for greenfield implementations of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Master Data Governance (MDG) and Master Data Management (MDM) as part of enterprise-wide architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG domains (Business Partner, Material, Finance), including BRF+ workflows, Change Request orchestration, Data Replication Framework (DRF), and mass processing/consolidation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Data Migration for master data objects such as:
• Business Partner (Customer/Vendor)
• Material Master
• Product Hierarchies
• Classification Data
• Strong understanding of data migration strategies from ECC or non-SAP ERPs to S/4HANA using SAP Data Services
• Strong understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere for data modeling and reporting.
• Ability to perform Data Assessments and ensure data quality and compliance.
• Familiarity with SAP Joule and AI-driven solutions for intelligent data management.
• Ability to conduct requirement gathering sessions, perform AS-IS assessments, Fit-Gap analysis, and define TO-BE design aligned with SAP best practices.
• Exposure to hybrid ERP environments (SAP on-prem + SaaS solutions) and SAP Public Cloud offerings.
• Experience in large-scale ERP transformation and migration projects, including integration with third-party systems.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, clean core principles, and Fiori-based MDG applications.
• Understanding SAP integration technologies: SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and SAP BTP for extensibility.
• Knowledge of latest MDG practices:
  • MDG Cloud Edition and integration with SAP Data Intelligence for advanced governance.
  • AI/ML-driven data quality improvements and automation.
  • MDG extensibility via APIs and SAP BTP services.
• Ability to create functional prototypes, support business case development, and demonstrate MDG value in S/4HANA deployments.
