Job summary

AMD in Bengaluru seeks an adaptive, self-motivated design engineer to join a team delivering high-quality SoCs with PCIe, Ethernet, USB and DDR interfaces. You will help drive design, integration and verification across in-house and vendor IPs, focusing on timing closure and reliability.

You should have a strong background in electronics/VLSI, and 5+ years of experience. Excellent communication and collaboration across sites/time zones are essential to succeed at AMD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics/VLSI/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of exp.
• Familiarity with RTL coding and industry protocols like PCIe and AMBA is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across sites/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop/Maintain design and integration for various in-house/vendor IPs, subsystems and SoC.
• Ensure quality of IP/Subsystem/SoC through static QC tools like LINT, CDC, RDC, CLP/VCLP.
• Develop/Own constraints like SDC, UPF, etc.
• Interact with stakeholders to ensure timing closure and verification robustness of your design.

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivatived design engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The DesignEngineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop/Maintain design and integration for various in-house/vendor IPs, subsystems and SoC. Preferred experience in PCIE, Ethernet, USB and DDR

• Ensure quality of the IP/Subsystem/SoC through various static QCs viz LINT, CDC, RDC, CLP/VCLP.
• Develop/Own various constraints like SDC, UPF, etc,
• Interact with various stakeholders to ensure timing closure and verification robustness of your design.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with RTL coding and various industry standard protocols like PCie, AMBA etc.
• Familiarity with various QC tools/flows and IPXACT.
• Strong fundamentals of VLSI, FIFO, arbitration techniques etc.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics/VLSI/computer engineering/Electrical Engineering with 5+Yrs of exp
