Job summary

Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun seeks an experienced Robotics Teacher to join the Robotics and AI department and guide students in AI, robotics, and Python across classes 6–12.

You will lead project-based learning, introduce platforms, sensors, automation, and ML basics, and help students develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or Robotics
• B.Ed. qualification adds advantage
• Proficient in Python libraries: NumPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib, Pandas, TensorFlow
• Strong Python programming skills to teach coding concepts across grade levels

Responsibilities

• Teach AI & Robotics curricula to classes 6-12
• Support project-based learning, encouraging creativity and problem-solving
• Introduce robotics platforms, programming, sensors, automation, and problem-solving
• Teach Python with focus on problem-solving, computational thinking, and real-world applications
• Introduce Python libraries and tools relevant to robotics (NumPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib, TensorFlow)
• Design coding activities and assessments to strengthen logical thinking and programming proficiency
• Document student projects and success stories
• Support school robotics/ STEM activities, competitions, workshops, and projects
• Coordinate with vendors for lab equipment calibration and servicing
• Stay updated with robotics, automation, and AI advancements
• Maintain professionalism and foster an inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach AI & Robotics curricula to classes 6-12
• Support students in project-based learning, encouraging creativity, problem-solving and innovation
• Introduce students to robotics platforms, programming, sensors, automation, and problem-solving
• Teach Python programming with a focus on problem-solving, computational thinking, and real-world applications
• Introduce Python libraries and tools relevant to robotics, including NumPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib, and machine learning basics, where appropriate
• Design coding activities and assessments that strengthen students' logical thinking, algorithm development, and programming proficiency
• Document student innovation activities and success stories
• Support school-level robotics/stem activities, competitions, workshops, and innovation projects
• Integrate product design theory into the curriculum, providing hands-on training for students on 3D printers and laser cuts
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and technical confidence among students
• Maintain and operate lab equipment's, records of lab utilization and student projects
• Coordinate with vendors for the calibration, technical support and servicing of lab equipment
• Stay updated with advancements in robotics, automation, AI-integrated robotics and smart systems
• Demonstrate professionalism through reliability, punctuality and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and respectful learning environment

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or Robotics
• A B.Ed. qualification will be an added advantage
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib, Pandas, and TensorFlow will be an added advantage
• Strong proficiency in Python programming with the ability to teach coding concepts across different grade levels
• Experience in developing Python applications for robotics, automation, AI, computer vision, or IoT projects
• Strong conceptual understanding of mechanics, electronics, control systems
• Experience in teaching or training students in robotics or STEM-related subjects
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on industry or academic experience in Robotics or Automation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
