Universal Robots seeks a Robotics Engineer on the Simulation team in Bangalore to design, build, and scale simulation pipelines for UR and MiR platforms in virtual environments. You will model robots, implement ROS2 integrations, and develop scalable cloud/on‑prem tooling to enable fast, repeatable simulations.
You will collaborate with researchers and application engineers across Denmark and Bangalore, ensuring fidelity of simulation and integration with real hardware.
Location: Bangalore, IN

You will join a team of talented and passionate engineers developing, testing, and optimizing the software and firmware running on our various robot platforms.
As a Robotics Engineer on the Simulation team, you will build the pipelines and infrastructure that let us simulate UR cobots and MiR mobile robots at scale — before a single unit is deployed on a customer floor. Simulation is central to how we reduce integration time, validate fleet behaviour, and let customers model their own environments and workflows ahead of deployment.
This is a hands‑on engineering role sitting at the intersection of robotics and software infrastructure. You will work with ROS2, physics engines, and GPU‑accelerated simulation to turn real robotic systems into faithful virtual ones, and you will build the tooling, services, and pipelines that make those simulations reliable, repeatable, and fast. You will collaborate closely with research scientists working on world models and 3D scene generation, with application engineers who understand real customer deployments, and with the wider R&D organization in Denmark and Bangalore.
We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. Our commitment to customer success drives us to go the extra mile. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.
