Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of credit notes and risk assessment memos.
  • Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flows, ratios, and peer benchmarks.
  • Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models, scorecards, and MIS dashboards.
  • Present analytical findings as clear insights and actionable recommendations.

About the Role

We are hiring a Risk Analyst to support credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and risk reporting for a leading NBFC. This role is ideal for candidates who are strong in advanced Excel, financial statement analysis, and risk analytics, and who can convert data into actionable insights for business and senior management.

You will work closely with underwriting, collections, and senior stakeholders to ensure data-driven risk decisions and effective credit controls.

Key Responsibilities
1 Credit Assessment & Underwriting Support
  • Assist in preparation of credit notes and risk assessment memos
  • Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flows, ratios, and peer benchmarks
  • Identify early risk indicators and red flags during credit evaluation
2 Portfolio & Exposure Monitoring
  • Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics:
    • DPD, PAR, roll rates, write-offs, cure rates
    • Collection efficiency and delinquency trends
  • Highlight emerging risks across products, geographies, and customer segments
  • Support proactive risk mitigation initiatives
3 Data Analysis & Reporting (Advanced Excel)
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models, scorecards, and MIS dashboards
  • Work extensively on:
    • Piv ot Tables
    • XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP
    • INDEX-MATCH
    • SUMIFS, IF, nested formulas
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of risk reports
4 Stakeholder Communication & Documentation
  • Present analytical findings as clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Support senior management with risk summaries and dashboards
  • Maintain structured documentation, meeting minutes, and decision logs
  • Demonstrate strong listening skills to understand business context and risk concerns
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Working knowledge of financial statements & financial analysis
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Qualifications (Preferred)
