Job summary

EY is expanding its Risk Consulting – Digital Risk practice in INDIA, Hyderabad, and seeks Staff with interest in resilience, cyber risk, and governance. You will support engagements across tests, controls, and studies, working with Seniors and Managers to build expertise and deliver client value.

You will contribute to assessments, documentation, workshops, and reporting, while growing in a global, diverse EY environment with opportunities for advancement and AI-enabled delivery tools.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), Cyber Resilience.
• Basic understanding of risk management, governance, controls, and regulatory compliance principles.
• Awareness of resilience and compliance frameworks (ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DORA, CPS 230, NIS2).
• Understanding of BIA, RTO, RPO, critical services, and dependency mapping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; good documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a consulting environment; client-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and compliance assessments.
• Assist in BIA studies, critical service reviews, and dependency mapping activities.
• Review resilience and compliance programs against frameworks and regulations (ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DORA, CPS 230, NIS2).
• Participate in control testing, evidence reviews, walkthroughs, and assurance activities.
• Gather, validate, and document evidence to support assessment conclusions and client deliverables.
• Assist in evaluating business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, incident management, and resilience testing programs.
• Support assessments of critical processes, systems, assets, third-party providers, and dependencies.
• Engage in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
• Identify observations, risks, and improvement opportunities with senior guidance.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and engagement documentation.
• Support project coordination, status tracking, and quality review procedures.
• Execute tasks with increasing autonomy and demonstrate initiative; support junior colleagues.
• Anticipate risks and raise issues with senior team members; ensure high-quality work.
• Contribute to QA by ensuring work is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our Resilience, Compliance & Cyber team and are looking for Staff with an interest in operational resilience, technology risk, cyber risk, compliance, and governance domains. We welcome candidates with foundational knowledge and academic or practical exposure across one or more of the following areas:

• Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management (BCM)
• Disaster Recovery (DR) and Technology Resilience
• Regulatory Compliance and Controls Assurance
• Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)
• Cyber Risk and Cyber Resilience
• Critical Business Services, Asset, and Dependency Assessments

Staff will support engagement delivery through research, testing preparations, evidence collection, documentation, analysis, and stakeholder coordination while working closely with Seniors and Managers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build expertise in resilience, compliance, technology risk, and cyber resilience while supporting global client engagements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and compliance assessments.
• Assist in conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), critical business service reviews, and dependency mapping activities.
• Support reviews of resilience and compliance programs against applicable frameworks and regulations, including ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DORA, CPS 230, and NIS2.
• Participate in control testing, evidence reviews, walkthroughs, and assurance activities.
• Gather, validate, and document evidence to support assessment conclusions and client deliverables.
• Assist in the evaluation of business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, incident management, and resilience testing programs.
• Support assessments of critical processes, systems, assets, third-party providers, and operational dependencies.
• Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
• Identify observations, risks, and improvement opportunities under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, management summaries, and engagement documentation.
• Support project coordination activities, status tracking, and quality review procedures.
• You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.
• You will anticipate and identify risks within engagement and share any issues with senior members of the team.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of risk management, cyber security, resilience, compliance, or technology governance principles through academic study, internships, certifications, projects, or professional experience.
• Exposure to control testing, audits, assessments, compliance reviews, or risk management activities is desirable but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with resilience and compliance frameworks, including ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), DORA, CPS 230, or NIS2, is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn in a consulting environment.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Exposure to Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), or Operational Resilience concepts through academic projects, internships, certifications, or work experience.
• Basic understanding of cyber security, technology risk, governance, or compliance processes.
• Experience supporting audits, assessments, testing activities, or control reviews.
• Exposure to critical asset assessments, dependency mapping, resilience testing, tabletop exercises, or crisis management activities.
• Proven experience in direct client facing roles, partnering with cross functional teams to deliver assessment and remediation activities.
• Familiarity with GRC, risk management, or compliance tools.
