Job Title: Divisional Risk and Control Specialist, AVP

The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - Data and Documentation Analyst is responsible for delivering specific aspects of the risk and control strategy for a sub-division.

This includes reviewing, mining, enriching control inventory data for management of information and reporting. Understanding operational processes for monitoring risk and control activities, risk-based control reporting of key issues, performance, and validation of cyclical activities such as certification, annual control self‑assessments.

It would also include, supporting control assurance, incident research, remediation monitoring and other ad hoc control initiatives and projects.

The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - Data and Documentation Analyst will liaise with other risk and control functions, on a management level to assure the integration of risk initiatives and projects.

• Create clear and effective internal controls that reduce risk and meet policy and regulatory requirements. Work with Operations SMEs to review requirements and define control descriptions and work with 2nd LoD to validate the design, and finalize controls through the full control lifecycle.
• Review of existing controls framework and enhancing documented controls in line with the Bank's risk framework and taxonomy ensuring Control Objectives are met with and standardized across the Corporate Banking Operations and Investment Banking Operations Global Footprint.

• Data Analysis : Collect, clean, and validate data to create standardized reports. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI etc. Advanced Excel - Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, array formulas) to manipulate and analyze data efficiently
• Statistical Analysis : Run statistical analysis or predictive modeling to arrive at informed business decisions.
• Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Work with internal team and stakeholders to frame business questions and prioritize business needs.
• Data Quality : Monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement data governance policies ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Data Mining: Data Classification, Clustering for Improved Decision Making
• Data Governance : Track data origin, processing and movement to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Delivery and Tracking: Non-Financial Risk deliverables, status, and issues.
• Automation : Automate recurring reporting tasks and optimize data workflows.
• Trigger Driven Data Analysis : Support ad hoc analysis and business intelligence initiatives.

Your skills and experience

12+ years of proven experience in Documentation, Data Management, Mining, Analysis, Reporting & Visualization and GovernanceAbility to continually read and comprehend complex process documentation, assess the control requirements for a process and write the controls in clear and unambiguous language to meet the standards prescribed by the Risk OrganizationProficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) - strong excel skills requiredSharePoint Power BI, Excel Macro and VB ScriptingTableau knowledge will be plus.Experience operating in a complex and fast-paced global environmentKnowledge of financial domain & terminology would be a plus
