Job summary

ExxonMobil in Bengaluru seeks a dynamic Upstream Revenue Accounting Business Analyst to support non-SAP revenue applications and interface with IT teams globally.

The role requires coordinating with SAP, non-SAP systems, and business users, gathering requirements, and performing configurations and testing in an Agile setting. Location is Bangalore, Karnataka.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting financial applications for Upstream processes.
  • Desirable experience in the Energy industry.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing and programming languages (Java, .NET C#, Python).
  • Knowledge of modern authentication methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with SQL experience.
  • 2+ years as an IT business analyst, 3–6 years overall experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incidents, requests, and changes for revenue applications and perform testing.
  • Collaborate with SAP, Non-SAP, and other IT teams across regions.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Set up configurations, implement changes, and perform testing.
  • Coordinate with business users and external partners.
  • Support agile planning and estimation activities.

What role you will play in our team

We are seeking dynamic, creative, and resourceful Upstream Revenue Accounting Business Analyst to support a portfolio of non-SAP Revenue applications. The ideal candidate will need to be able to interface with IT teams and business users in multiple regions.

Job location is based out of Bangalore, Karnataka

What you will do
  • Manage incidents, problem or work requests including configuration changes, minor enhancements, resolution of break-in fix issues, problem solving and troubleshooting, business consulting, data/analysis maintenance, user training and collaboration.
  • Coordinate efforts with other IT support teams (SAP, Non-SAP, other applications)
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Set up configuration, implement changes, perform unit/integration testing
  • Work with business users and external partners
  • Assist with work estimation and planning as part of Agile implementation in the team
About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting financial applications for Upstream processes (such as Energy Component and/or PAS and/or GeRAS and/or EDI viewer).
  • Working experience in the Energy industry is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing, integration techniques, and programming languages (Java, .NET C#, Python)
  • Knowledge in modern technology and authentication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with SQL and database management systems
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience working as IT business analyst, overall working experience in range of 3-6 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software
  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside of your work schedule
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in Computer/IT other relevant engineering disciplines with minimum GPA 7.0

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. GitHub)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power-BI)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Azure ADO Board)
