The ideal candidate will coach juniors and manage complex reviews, with strong analytical and leadership capabilities. The position requires 5–8 years of credit experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Excel and SQL.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of relevant credit experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with SQL; fluency in Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the effectiveness of Citi’s credit risk management practices across unsecured portfolios.
  • Analyze credit risks using reports, scorecards, risk systems, and expert judgment.
  • Evaluate moderately complex credit issues with significant business impact.
  • Balance multiple data sources and develop actionable risk strategies.
  • Lead or support preparation of Credit Portfolio Scorecards and trend analyses.
  • Assist with Business Monitoring and Regulatory deliverables.
  • Prepare internal presentations for management and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Promote ethical decision-making and transparency across the firm.

Job description

Citi is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join its Risk Management team as a Credit Review Senior Analyst. This role plays a critical part in evaluating and improving credit risk management practices. The successful candidate will contribute to UAE Wealth CG/CPC Risk team in identifying, monitoring, and mitigating emerging credit risks. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, independent judgment, and leadership experience in credit risk or related areas.

The role will provide analytical and project support to Unsecured Credit Policy team, help produce internal reporting, and contribute to key presentations and regulatory deliverables. The ideal candidate will have in-depth credit knowledge, experience in risk systems and metrics, and the ability to coach junior team members while managing complex credit risk reviews and business monitoring activities.

What you’ll do

  • Assess the effectiveness of Citi’s credit risk management practices and support identification and mitigation of credit risk across unsecured portfolios

  • Analyze credit risks by utilizing reports, scorecards, risk systems, and expert judgment

  • Evaluate moderately complex and variable credit issues with significant business impact

  • Balance potentially conflicting data sources and develop actionable credit risk strategies

  • Lead or support the preparation of Credit Portfolio Scorecards and trend analysis reports

  • Promote ethical decision-making and support risk and control issue transparency across the firm

What we’ll need from you

  • 5–8 years of relevant credit experience, preferably in a financial institution

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
