IIM Udaipur invites applications for a Research Assistant/Associate to support Finance & Accounting research projects, publish work, and develop case studies. The role prepares you for doctoral programs and careers in finance research.

The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension up to two years based on performance. Reporting to Prof. Ashok Banerjee, the role is based on campus with access to Institute resources.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountancy (CA) or MBA (Finance) or Master's in Quantitative/Computational Finance from a reputed Institute.
• Proficiency in excel and any statistical package is expected.
• Knowledge of programming language Python or R is preferred.

• Conduct research and compile relevant information from various academic and professional sources.
• Process, organize, and interpret data, ensuring clarity and thematic coherence.
• Prepare background materials as input to publication.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant/Associate to support ongoing research projects in area of Finance & Accounting.

The selected candidate will help faculty member in Research work for publications, Journals and other outlets (e.g. books). The RA will also assist in developing case studies. This position also prepares the candidate for admission to doctoral or equivalent programs at prestigious business schools worldwide, ultimately leading to careers in finance research at top-tier business schools or research organizations.

Responsibilities

Skills And Qualifications

Location

Office space will be provided on the IIM Udaipur campus (for optimal convenience, candidates should be located near IIM Udaipur Campus). No accommodation facilities will be provided by IIMU.
