Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
  • Conduct stress, thermal, and fatigue analysis using FEA and simulation tools to validate designs.
  • Lead the prototyping and testing phases, ensuring designs meet performance, durability, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during production and field operations.
  • Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, ASME, API).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce lifecycle costs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the engineering department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, welding), and GD&T.
  • Experience with project management, design validation, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, testing, or client engagements.
