Job summary

PTC is seeking a Release and Program Manager to join our PLM PMO team in Pune. You will support engineering cross-functional teams to manage maintenance release activities across the SDLC and coordinate milestones with integrated scrum teams.

You will lead governance, risk mitigation, and data-driven decision making, partnering with R&D and PM leaders to deliver releases on plan while maintaining stakeholder alignment and process discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years in software development with at least 4 years in program or project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of Agile Scrum in product development.
• Comfort with utilization of AI.
• Self-starter who can earn trust and influence without authority.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and stay organized.
• Data-savvy; able to interpret data for optimization.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management tools (Jira/Confluence, Qlik, Smartsheet, MS Project).

Your Role

We are currently seeking a Release and Program Manager to join our PLM PMO team in PTC office in Pune. In this role, you will support engineering cross-functional teams to help manage their maintenance release activities throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work directly with integrated scrum teams to coordinate and track program milestones and deliverables, effectively mitigate schedule and scope risks, within agile framework leading releases towards successful outcomes. You will be part of a PMO team of talented and enthusiastic release and program managers who lead with a servant leader mindset. You will interact with a multitude of roles across the organization on a day to day basis. You will be the "go to" person for processes associated with planning, monitoring, control, configuration and change management for your initiatives/releases.

Your Impact

This role is critical to ensure timely and efficient release execution per defined plan, as well as effective communication within and across the integrated scrum teams, PMs and TPMs. A big part of the role will be related to supporting the teams through facilitation of the meetings, following up on the actions, providing the data to enable data driven decision making.

Your Team

This role reports into the PLM PMO organization and will be working closely with the R&D and PM leaders both within the PLM organization, as well as other segments.

Your Day-to-Day

• Work with Engineering, QA & Tech Support teams on delivering maintenance releases.
• Plan, schedule, and control the build, test, and deployment of releases
• Enable efficient release process / governance
• Identify, communicate and manage risks
• Measure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics; own release dashboards;
• Plan and lead release status review meetings with senior management; establish efficient governance to communicate status updates, risks and escalations
• Collaborate with other program and release managers to define and improve organizational standards for maintenance release

Qualification, Preferred Experience and Must-Have skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, other related fields, or equivalent experience.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in software development organizations, with minimum of 4 years in a program or project management role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Agile Scrum software product development methodology.
• Comfort with utilization of AI
• Self-starter who can earn trust and can influence and motivate without authority
• Ability to work independently
• Proactive in identifying and solving problems, looks beyond the obvious and can find the root of the problem
• Ability to build and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Data savvy; Able to interpret data and use the knowledge for introducing optimization at different levels
• Fluent with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project management tools (Jira/Confluence, Qlik, Smartsheet, MS Project)
