Job summary

Standard Chartered India is seeking a Relationship Manager to acquire and manage liability customers with emphasis on CMS, FX, and wealth products. Build a portfolio focusing on startups, e-commerce, and new age businesses, while deepening relationships to grow wallet share.

The role expects strategy formulation for startup accounts, team leadership to hit monthly balance targets, and adherence to risk and regulatory guidelines within a global banking framework.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant banking experience in liability and transaction banking.
  • Substantial work experience in startup ecosystem and its functioning.
  • Strong interpersonal and business development capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating strategies for acquiring accounts of startup and new age business.
  • Drive team with objective of achieving average balance targets monthly.
  • Ensure quality acquisition and portfolio hygiene with proper due diligence and compliance.
  • Ensure ethical conduct and regulatory compliance across team.
  • Coordinate with CMS, FEMA reporting, Trade, Cash & Treasury functions for integrated solutions.

Job Summary
  • Acquire and manage liability customers with focus on customers with CMS and Foreign exchange transactions.
  • RM shall acquire and build their own portfolio of liability customers with focus on CA, FX and Wealth. Deepen relationships to increase wallet share
  • Key products: Liability Current Accounts from New Age business, Start Up & D2C Companies, Deposit Accounts, CMS and FX, Banca and Managed Investments.

  • Formulating strategies for acquiring accounts of startup and new age business.
Business
  • Driving team with an objective of achieving adding average balance of INR 10 Mio every month
Processes
  • Quality acquisition, and standard compliance liked to transaction and Portfolio Hygiene.
People & Talent
  • Ensuring employee conduct is being followed.
Risk Management
  • Tracking of portfolio in terms of account transaction. Ensuring proper due diligence of both remitter and beneficiary. Along with Basic hygiene on RFA, EUM, RFI, Non-Borrowing fraud entries.
Governance
  • Follow governance related guidelines and ensuring zero breach for all the team members.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, upscale, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • WS Team, CMS team, FEMA reporting, Trade, Cash & Treasury specialist.
