Lead and oversee the delivery of regulatory reporting activities within a controlled, regulated financial services environment. The role is responsible for ensuring completeness, accuracy, governance, and timely delivery of regulatory reporting outputs across Capital and/or Liquidity / IFRS Reporting / Credit Risk Reporting processes. company reporting covers regulatory submissions required under PRA supervision, including liquidity, capital, stress testing, and statistical returns.
The role provides review, challenge, and oversight across reporting activities delivered through the offshore operating model, ensuring outputs are supported by robust controls, reconciliations, analytical review, and regulatory compliance.
1. Manage and perform the review and challenge of regulatory reporting outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Take day-to-day responsibility for execution of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes, ensuring timely delivery in line with agreed processes, controls, and governance standards.
3. Prepare, review, and analyse reconciliations, controls, adjustments, and analytical reporting outputs across the end to end reporting process.
4. Prepare and own required manual adjustments, ensuring they are accurately calculated, appropriately approved, and supported by clear documentation and audit trails.
5. Prepare and review management packs, variance analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholder reporting, ensuring key movements, risks, and issues are clearly articulated.
6. Perform detailed review and challenge of data quality, reporting assumptions, and methodologies, escalating material issues where required.
7. Investigate and resolve complex reporting issues, anomalies, reconciliation differences, and control breaks, working with relevant stakeholders to agree remediation actions.
8. Manage governance and sign-off processes, ensuring reporting outputs are appropriately evidenced, reviewed, and documented.
9. Ensure compliance with PRA expectations, regulatory reporting standards, governance requirements, and submission timelines.
10. Understand regulatory reporting requirements from an operational delivery perspective and assess impacts on reporting processes, data, controls, and outputs.
11. Support responses to regulatory queries, internal audit requests, control reviews, and ad hoc information requests.
12. Manage competing priorities, delivery timelines, issue resolution, and escalation of key reporting risks and issues.
13. Assess the operational impact of regulatory, process, and system changes affecting regulatory reporting processes and outputs.
14. Identify and support process improvements, automation initiatives, and strengthening of reporting controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational resilience.
15. Provide day-to-day supervision, task allocation, technical guidance, training, and review support to junior colleagues, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
