Job description

We are seekingcompassionate and dedicated Registered Nursesto join our multi-specialty healthcare team at SDDM Hospital Jammu. As J&K's first fully air-conditioned multi-specialty hospital, we provide comprehensive care across 20+ specialties. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across various departments including emergency, ICU, general wards, and specialty units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across multiple specialties including orthopedics, cardiology, gynecology, and emergency care.
  • Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document all relevant medical information accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians following hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Assist in emergency procedures and provide critical care support in our 6-bed critical care unit.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment procedures, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety protocols are followed.
  • Support surgical procedures in our 4 modern operation theatres when required.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during treatment.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Required Education: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing from recognized institution.
  • Registration: Valid registration with J&K Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
  • Experience: Fresh graduates welcome; 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred; ACLS advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills in Hindi, English, and local languages; ability to work in multicultural environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records, basic computer skills, knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols.
  • Personal Qualities: Compassionate, detail-oriented, ability to work under pressure, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Modern, fully air-conditioned multi-specialty hospital with advanced medical equipment and facilities. Professional healthcare environment serving patients from across J&K region.
  • Shift Hours: Rotating shifts including day, evening, and night shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage required as per hospital scheduling.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg, and perform physical patient care activities.
