Position Overview: Regional Sales Manager West (Mumbai) & Bangalore (KA)
This position seeks an experienced and results-driven salesperson to join our energetic team. This role would provide appropriate product solutions for our customers/clients and nurture them through our purchase flow from start to finish. Candidates for this position should prioritize customer care, acquisition, and company profitability.
- Responsible for generating leads & achieving the set sales targets in the defined region / segment / sector.
- Revenue generation and branding the company's image for further requirement.
- Achieve all key business goals, objectives and set KPI.
- This role includes but not limited to the development of the department and the company at large.
Role & Responsibilities

- Understanding the customer requirement/specifications and matching the company's standards and offer competitive price.
- Make approval/Vendor enlistment with reputed vertical customers by doing the BD work.
- Do the Pretender efforts for Spec-in and ensure that the USP and other key parameters have been inserted before enquiry/tender is floated.
- Responsible for getting the Customer/Consultant drawing approvals and getting the PO, prepare the Order Review Sheet and supporting documents for initiating design & production process.
- Payment Follow up with Customer for ABG, PBG or against proforma Invoice & ensure to follow the credit norms judiciously and focus on timely collection to meet the target (stick to payment terms).
- Coordinate with the customers & the internal dispatch team to ensure quality, specification and time-lines are met as per the customer requirement.
- Regularly interact with existing customers to know the future requirement or proposals.
- Regular Market scanning and competitor mapping for gathering market intelligence data.
- Focus to develop the HPS brand awareness, identification of new sites and sources of requirement.
- Building new lead generation in the defined region / Renewable segment / sector / market / etc. as per the targets and business development with client strategies.
- Prepare & Review MIS reports along with Weekly & Monthly Reports of the sales and work-in-progress.
- Based on the yearly budget, the sales target is set to each individual, and the same is reviewed on a weekly basis. This review is on enquiries, order-booking, sale, collection, & developing new customers/clients.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
- Achieving sales target as defined within the set time frame from Renewable/Industries & Infrastructure Customers.
- To build and support strong customer relationships and networks with continuous improvement in different market segments.
- Acquisition of new customers, client & business units and retaining the existing.
- To analyze and make recommendations, provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
- Sales with maintaining the defined marketing margins, order booking and collection as per AOP.
Organizational Alignment
- Reports to Vertical Head Renewables/ Industries & Infrastructure (I & I).
- Closely coordinates with company executive, all stakeholders & partners as appropriate.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions
- Bachelor Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent degree.
- PGDBM, Masters in Engineering or Business Administration is preferable.
- Passion for Sales, Business Development & Networking.
- Familiarity with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering concepts for supporting the sales & marketing functions, preferable experience in transformers industry.
- Minimum 15 to 20 years of progressive sales experience with strong focus on business development, revenue generation, customer relations and strong experience in transformers industry handling business independently.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Good understanding / experience of business development process through consultants and other influencers. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
- Depth of knowledge to understand domestic & global market scenario in line with HPS stand.
- Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Creative and innovative thinking with fresh approaches.
- Risk management and strong ability in handling stress and to work on deadlines.
- Effective leadership skills, with strong focus on operations and business processes.
- Excellent project management, leadership skills & team management.
- Commanding, credibility, integrity, discretion, diplomacy, flexibility, emotional intelligence.
- Strong working knowledge in MS office, analyzing data in presentable/required forms (spreadsheets/presentations/etc.)
- Local language is a must along with fluency in English & Hindi.
- Willing to travel intensively and on short notice.
- The position will be based in our office/branch/region in India.
