The Regional Leader – Security will serve as the organization's senior on-ground representative responsible for ensuring uninterrupted project execution and operations across renewable energy assets, including solar parks, wind farms, substations, transmission infrastructure, and EPC project sites across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The role's primary focus is to proactively manage community relations, Right of Way (RoW) challenges, local stakeholder engagement, intelligence gathering, and liaison with government and law enforcement authorities to minimize disruptions to project development, construction, and operational activities. The incumbent will act as the critical interface between the organization, local communities, civil administration, law enforcement agencies, and project teams, enabling a stable and secure operating environment for business continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with village leaders, local influencers, community representatives, panchayat members, farmer groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve community concerns that may impact project execution or operations.
  • Support land acquisition, RoW management, and stakeholder engagement efforts through continuous community outreach.
  • Build goodwill and trust within local communities to ensure long-term project acceptance and support.
  • Conduct periodic security, social, and operational risk assessments across project and operational sites.
  • Identify emerging threats related to community unrest, labor issues, protests, encroachments, theft, vandalism, sabotage, and unlawful activities.
  • Recommend and implement mitigation plans to address identified risks.
  • Monitor local socio-political developments that may impact business operations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with District Administration, Police Authorities, Revenue Officials, Forest Department, Energy Department Officials, Local Government Representatives, and Regulatory Bodies.
  • Facilitate support from government stakeholders during project execution and operational challenges.
  • Coordinate responses during emergencies, protests, disputes, and law & order situations.
  • Establish an effective local intelligence network to gather actionable information relevant to project operations.
  • Monitor local developments, disputes, political activities, labor issues, and community sentiments.
  • Provide timely intelligence reports and early warning alerts to management.
  • Support risk forecasting and proactive decision- making.
  • Support EPC and O&M teams by ensuring a disruption-free environment for project activities.
  • Assist visiting leadership and project teams with local briefings, security assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide on-ground support during critical project milestones or site visits.
  • Conduct regular visits to all assigned sites.
  • Review local security arrangements and recommend improvements where required.
  • Monitor contractor compliance related to security and local engagement practices.
  • Ensure security incidents are reported, investigated, and resolved appropriately.
  • Respond to incidents including protests, community disputes, thefts, encroachments, road blockades, labor unrest, and security threats.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert on local stakeholders, security dynamics, and community engagement.
  • Advise leadership on risk trends and opportunities to strengthen operational resilience.
  • Undertake special assignments as directed by management.
  • Support crisis management efforts and coordinate with authorities for resolution.
  • Provide real-time updates to management during critical incidents.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Graduate in any 4 discipline with10–15 years of experience in: Security Management, Community Relations, Government Liaison, Infrastructure / Energy / Mining / Industrial Projects, Operations Support, Strong understanding of rural operating environments.
