Job summary

Truemeds is seeking a Frontend Engineer - SDE-2 to build scalable, high-performance, customer-facing web applications in Bengaluru. You will design and develop frontend solutions that ensure seamless user experiences at scale, owning modules end-to-end and collaborating with Product and Design teams.

The role emphasizes performance optimization, code quality, and mentorship of junior engineers, with a focus on delivering high-quality features within tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of frontend or web development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable frontend applications using React.js.

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer - SDE-2 who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance, and customer-facing web applications. You will play a key role in designing and developing frontend solutions that deliver seamless user experiences at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance frontend applications using React.js.
• Own frontend modules and features end-to-end from requirement analysis and development to testing and deployment.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to frontend architecture and design decisions.
• Integrate multiple backend services and APIs to build seamless customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, UI issues, and complex technical challenges.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to peers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering practices.
• Drive frontend best practices related to performance, scalability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features within defined timelines.

Must-Have Skills

• 3-6 years of experience in frontend or web development.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
• Good experience with Redux or other state-management solutions.
• Experience with SASS/SCSS, Tailwind CSS, or CSS-in-JS.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and frontend-backend integration.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization and debugging.
• Good understanding of Git, code reviews, and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex frontend features.

Good to Have

• Experience building high-traffic, customer-facing B2C applications.
• Experience working on hybrid applications or mobile-web experiences.
• Experience with frontend testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems from a frontend integration perspective.
• Experience in e-commerce, healthtech, fintech, foodtech, quick commerce, or other consumer internet businesses.
