Job summary

Versatile.club is seeking an early-career React Developer (SDE I) to join our web engineering team in India. You will write production React code alongside experienced engineers, ship real features to a large user base, and grow quickly through hands-on work and mentorship.

Responsibilities include building features with React.js/Next.js, translating designs into reusable UI components, integrating APIs with frontend code, and participating in code reviews to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience building web apps with React.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Next.js.
• Familiarity with component-based architecture and state management (Redux or Context).
• Web-focused role; mobile-only backgrounds not suitable.

We’re looking for an early-career React Developer (SDE I) to join our web engineering team. You’ll write production React code alongside experienced engineers, ship real features to a large user base, and grow quickly through hands-on work and close mentorship. It’s an ideal role for someone with a strong React foundation who wants to build at scale and learn fast.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain features for our web applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Translate designs and product requirements into clean, responsive, reusable UI components.
• Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver smooth, reliable data flows.
• Participate actively in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback — to keep quality high.
• Help debug, test, and improve existing features, and keep an eye on frontend performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine and ship a great user experience.

What we’re looking for

• Around 1–3 years of experience (including strong internships/projects) building web apps with React.js.
• Good working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Next.js.
• Understanding of component-based architecture and state management (e.g. Redux or Context).
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, and eagerness to learn from code review and mentorship.
• This is a web React role — web experience is required (React Native / mobile-only backgrounds are not a fit for this position).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Exposure to testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library) or responsive/accessible UI practices.
