• Provide strong customer service by answering client calls and promptly following up on all interactions.
• Review source codes, tally hash totals, and map ICD‑9, CPT, and modifiers as needed.
• Validate and verify batches once IHS has entered them, correct questions, and close the batch.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong customer service by answering client calls and promptly following up on all interactions.
• Return and follow up on all requests for information, both internally and externally.
• Prepare charges for offshore operations and address questions related to charges.
• Complete charge and payment inquiries for offshore vendors, reconciling batches and revising discrepancies.
• Review source codes, tally hash totals, and map ICD‑9, CPT, and modifiers as needed.
• Create claim edit reports for charge entries.
• Reconcile imputed payment postings and balance batch reports.
• Prepare charges for IHS, indicating modifiers needed on CPT codes and noting any handwritten diagnosis or procedure codes.
• Return any charges to the doctor’s office that require clarification.
• Validate and verify batches once IHS has entered them, correct questions, and close the batch.
• Import or enter charges and post payments for clients not placed with IHS.
• Work claim rejections for clients not with IHS and oversee claim rejections handled by IHS, correcting or taking actions as needed.
• Spot‑audit charge and payment batches completed by IHS to ensure accurate information entry.
• Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures related to the position, department, and company.
• Achieve supervisor‑set goals regarding error‑free work, transactions, processes, and compliance requirements.
