Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a senior RAMS/Reliability & Systems Safety Engineer for India. The role focuses on RAMS, system safety, reliability engineering, technical leadership, customer engagement, and airworthiness certification across multiple aircraft platforms.

Hybrid work is offered. The candidate will bring 6+ years of RAMS and safety expertise, ARP4761/ARP4754A proficiency, and hands-on analyses (FMEA, FTA, FHA, PSSA/SSA).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of RAMS, reliability, or safety engineering experience.
• Proficient with SAE ARP4761/ARP4761A and ARP4754/ARP4754A.
• Experience with FMEA/FMECA, FTA, FHA, PSSA, SSA, and related analyses.
• Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-338 and aviation certs.
• Experience with aircraft systems, avionics, embedded systems or safety-critical platforms.
• Exposure to aircraft-level dispatch and mission reliability.
• Experience providing technical leadership / SME guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RAMS and system safety analyses for complex aircraft systems enacted across avionics, interiors, landing and other safety-critical platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and SME guidance on large engineering programs.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to ensure certification readiness and robust reliability outcomes.
• Prepare and review documentation, analyses, and presentations for internal and external reviews.
• Support mission reliability and aircraft-level dispatch considerations.

About the Opportunity

This is a senior technical role focused on RAMS, system safety, reliability engineering, technical leadership, customer engagement, and aerospace certification for complex aircraft systems across Avionics, Interiors, Landing Systems, Cargo Systems, and other safety-critical platforms.

Key Experience We Are Looking For

• 6+ years of relevant experience in RAMS, Reliability, Systems Safety, Aerospace, Avionics, Embedded Systems, or safety-critical products
  
• Strong hands-on experience with SAE ARP4761/ARP4761A and ARP4754/ARP4754A
  
• Strong expertise in FMEA/FMECA, FTA, FHA, PSSA, SSA, Common Cause/Common Mode and Fault Tolerance Analysis
  
• 5+ years of strong understanding of reliability engineering, failure mechanisms, reliability prediction, and statistical analysis
  
• Experience with MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-338 and applicable aviation certification requirements
  
• Experience with aircraft systems, avionics, embedded systems, or other safety-critical systems
  
• Exposure to aircraft-level dispatch and mission reliability
  
• Strong technical documentation, presentation, review, and customer-facing skills
  
• Experience providing technical leadership / SME guidance on complex engineering programs
  

Preferred Skills

Experience with CAFTA, Windchill Quality System, JAMA, Confluence, LTspice, CATIA/Siemens NX, Excel/VBA automation, reliability prediction tools, and Single Event Effects (SEE) analysis will be an added advantage.
