Job summary

NIQ is seeking an experienced R2R Accounting Specialist to manage quality metrics, SLAs, and governance rhythms within the record-to-report function. You will provide technical accounting support and act as a subject matter expert for the team.

The role involves process improvements, ERP tooling (SAP/Blackline), SOX controls, and collaboration with global COE to implement new accounting pronouncements with strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

  • CA/CMA/CPA qualification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a multinational company.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage R2R quality metrics through SLAs and governance.
  • Provide technical accounting support for the R2R function and act as SMEs for the team.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • It's an Individual Contributor role wherein you are responsible to manage R2R quality Metrices through service level agreements, performance metrics and continuous governance rhythm.
  • Provide Technical accounting support for the R2R Function and Work as subject matter expert for the team.
  • Support various projects related to Efficiency, Controls, Transformation, Metrices and Governance within R2R function.
  • Deliver, standardize, and drive efficiency in continuous finance processes in record-to report, banking, fixed assets and FinOps accounting processes.
  • Manage the banking activities Quality, audit, and compliance activities.
  • Work with Business Finance and Global COE colleagues to maintain best-in-class processes and application of policies.
  • Develop and implement procedures and operational ways of work in a standardized, efficient, and effective manner in the realm of the R2R and general financial accounting stream.
  • Maintain R2R and general financial accounting related internal controls; ensure robust account reconciliations and SOX compliance.
  • Maintain thorough and current understanding of GAAP. Keep abreast of emerging accounting and reporting standards. Support the implementation of new accounting pronouncements as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate routinely with finance colleagues at various levels, providing direction related to key processes and related changes, the sharing of best practices and keeping them abreast of initiatives that have a global impact
  • Maintain an appropriate system configuration and IT environment to ensure effective and efficient execution of R2R and general financial accounting continuous finance processes.
Qualifications
  • CA / CMA (CWA) / CPA Qualified
  • 5+years relevant professional experience in a medium to large multinational company
  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards is mandatory (US-GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements is preferred.
  • Mandatory Working experience with ERPs, Reporting and Reconciliation systems (preferably SAP / Blackline)
  • Experience in Process Improvements / Automations is preferred.
  • Experience with project management is preferred.
  • Problem Solving attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, team player, leadership traits
