Job summary

Keysight Technologies in India invites an experienced R&D engineer to design software for Arbitrary Waveform Generators, collaborating with global teams across Germany and the US to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics/ Electrical /Computer Science engineering or closely related field.
• 3 to 5 years of R&D experience in product development.
• Experience in modern C++ (e.g. C++14 and later) and objected-oriented programming.
• Demonstrated aptitude and genuine interest in DSP with willingness to grow into algorithm development.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. HW/SW integration experience.
• Good experience of development tools - Git, Jira, Agile/Scrum.
• Foundational understanding of electronic engineering principles, high speed digital design, and signal integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent team-player, responsive and accountable.
• Self-starter. Willing to quickly learn new applications and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for Arbitrary waveform generators with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with R&D Project Manager, Product Planners, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA and software engineers.

DP-COE (Digital Photonics Center of Excellence), being part of Keysight Technologies has the responsibility for developing innovative products in the crucial portfolio segment of Oscilloscopes, Photonics, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester), Digitizer, Logic Analysis, Protocol Analysis which provide fast, extensive insight and enable engineering teams to do their job faster, with higher quality. We serve our customers in the Computer, Semiconductor, Wireless, Aero Space & Defense, Storage, Communication, Quantum industries with leading edge products and solutions. Keysight Solution teams work closely with DP-COE to provide required solutions to these industries.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced R&D engineer to work with our innovative team in developing cutting-edge software for Arbitrary waveform generators. You will utilize your expertise in software engineering, with a focus on developing algorithms and applications to create high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems that meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with R&D Project Manager, Product Planners, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA developers, Software engineers and Other Stakeholders to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics/ Electrical /Computer Science engineering or closely related field
• 3 to 5 years of R&D experience in product development
• Experience in modern C++ (e.g. C++14 and later) and objected-oriented programming
• Demonstrated aptitude and genuine interest in DSP — coursework, academic project, thesis, or personal projects (e.g., SDR, audio/comms signal processing) with explicit willingness to grow into algorithm development under mentorship from our existing DSP engineer.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Working experience in Hardware & Software integration.
• Good experience of development tools and techniques - Version control (Git), Defect tracking (Jira), Requirements definition and product development models (Agile/Scrum)
• Foundational understanding of electronic engineering principles, high speed digital design, and signal integrity. Experience in developing products in Test and measurement is an added advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent team-player, responsive and accountable
• Self-starter. Willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies

Preferred:

• Experience with Keysight instruments like AWG, Oscilloscope
• Experience in complex HW/SW projects preferred
• Strong background in RF & digital domain
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Basic knowledge in C# and .Net framework
• Ready to adapt to new programming environments
