Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a major R&D facility with around 500 engineers focused on digital solutions, new products, and technology in Chennai and Bangalore. The role covers ownership of the main application technology for protection and control of the entire power-system field.

You will address application issues, review technical docs, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Qualifications

• Power system stability, protection and control application functions; programming in C; knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
• IEC61131-3 structured text programming experience in CODESYS environment; familiarity with IEC standards and standardization.

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

How you'll make an impact:

• To have ownership of the main application technology to cover protection and control of the entire power system field.

To have the responsibility to be involved and drive toward a solution for application issues or customer related issues.

To have the responsibility to review technical descriptions, user documentation and make sure that the quality is granted.

You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

Required Master-/PhD- degree of science.

• Power system stability, protection and control application functions - Programming, C-language coding, MATLAB/Simulink knowledge. Knowledge of programming skills using IEC61131-3 structured text programming experience in CODESYS environment. IEC standards and standardization.
