• Build opportunity pipeline with multiple clients through collaboration.
• Lead or contribute to proposal and bid presentations.
• Handle negotiations successfully to win bids.
• Review client business strategy and propose remodeling solutions.
• Stimulate demand for solutions by providing fresh insights.
• Plan strategy for key client engagements for the next 3 years.
• Offer in-depth functional and domain expertise within focus areas.
• Create reusable intellectual property and present at conferences.
• Support change management activities and oversee implementation.
• Manage upstream engagements and generate annual revenue.

Job description

Role Purpose

The Consulting Head is primarily responsible for converting premium consulting opportunities into sustainable engagements for Wipro, and ensuring delivery of the same. From a business development perspective, the incumbent identifies opportunities, crafts innovative market and client pursuit strategies along with the Sales teams, and is a master within the area of expertise. From a delivery perspective, the incumbent is responsible for developing clients’ strategies, business and financial models, and operating architectures.

Responsibilities

• Craft client pursuit strategies & diagnoses client opportunities many of which have scope of downstream engagements.
• Builds an opportunity pipeline with multiple clients through collaboration with Practice Partners and Sales teams.
• Leads or contributes to proposal and bid presentations to clients.
• Handles negotiations well and is successful in winning bids.
• Reviews and assesses a client’s business strategy, including competitive positioning, strategic direction & proposes appropriate remodeling solutions.
• Stimulates demand for solutions by adding fresh insight or customizing to meet evolving client/market needs.
• Plans the strategy and direction for key client engagements for the next 3 years.
• Offers in-depth functional and domain expertise within areas of strategic focus, including knowledge of related applications.
• Creates reusable IP, presents POV; white papers etc. at strategic industry and analyst conferences.
• Understands & supports change management activities, transformation projects and oversees implementation.
• Manages upstream engagements while generating an annual downstream revenue for the consulting track.
• Closes on new projects and/or project extensions with clear upstream engagements.
