Job summary

Webasto Roofsystems India is seeking a Quality professional to drive quality activities in development projects up to handover to production. You will plan and execute quality tasks according to OnePEP and lean methods, supporting cross-functional teams in the automotive sector.

Key duties include PPAP coordination, updating control plans, and enabling customer audits plus internal and external assessments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Quality activities in development projects until handover to production.
• Plan and execute quality tasks per OnePEP and lean quality management tools.
• Lead PPAP-related activities and coordinate sampling for customer scope.
• Define and update control plans up to handover to series production.
• Support customer and internal audits, including VDA 6.3 audits for projects.
• Plan measurement and testing processes and validate measurement concepts.
• Maintain cross-regional communication and share lessons learned.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

This job performs quality activities in development projects until handover to production. Additionally, the optimization of Quality processes, methods & tools and the support of cross-regional/business unit sharing of information and best practices in cooperation with regional/business unit PQE are key parts of the responsibility.

• Establish a customer interface for quality in projects and plan and execute quality tasks according to OnePEP as well as methods and tools to support lean quality management.
• Contribute to agreement for PPAP requirements (timing, content, methods) with customer, break down activities for internal PPAP release, initiate and lead sampling processes to customer for scope of delivery (incl. spare parts).
• Define and update control plan based on existing examples during the project until handover to series.
• Support the preparation and participate in Customer Audits, internal and external audits and, if required, ensure VDA 6.3 audits for projects.
• Planning of measurement and testing processes and participation in their procurement and validation (definition of measurement concepts, starting with aligned reference systems that take into account both part function and measurability).
• Maintain regular communication (also across regions/BUs) and perform quick and efficient global cross-reading and lessons learned.
• Contribute in risk minimization through the use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for stations involving CC characteristics (e.g. Reverse FMEA).
