Role & responsibilities

Role Summary

The Manager - Quality Assurance is tasked with ensuring that all production processes adhere to stringent quality and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in the design and execution of comprehensive quality management systems and the optimization of workflows through close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The manager guarantees that all products consistently meet the company\'s quality benchmarks and comply with industry regulations, safeguarding product integrity and safety. The role requires minimal travel for business purposes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Quality Process Design:

    Design and implement production processes ensuring adherence to internal quality benchmarks.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with industry regulations and food safety requirements. Align processes with both national and international standards.

  • Collaboration with PDI and Production Team:

    Work closely with the Product Development & Innovation and Production team to streamline workflows. Ensure quality is maintained throughout product development. Oversee hygiene and sanitation practices across production, storage, and distribution to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance.

  • Process Monitoring & Improvement:

    Monitor quality process effectiveness regularly for optimization. Implement data-driven improvements for product consistency and efficiency.

  • Internal Audits & Inspections:

    Conduct regular in-process testing and inspections throughout production to ensure consistency and identify quality deviations early. Inspect final products to ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:

    Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction and prevent recurrence.

  • Supplier Quality Management:

    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality compliance. Address supplier-related issues affecting product quality.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    Maintain accurate records of processes, audits, and compliance. Provide regular quality reports to senior management.

  • Quality Training & Development:

    Provide training to production and QC teams on quality standards. Promote best practices to foster a culture of quality.

  • Team Management:

    Lead and mentor the QA and QC team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration to drive performance and achieve organizational goals.
