Responsibilities

• Attend production-line jig breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore operation with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, and connectivity issues; distinguish jig faults from DUT or software problems.
• Inspect wiring, power supplies, relays, sensors, switches; use diagnostic instruments.
• Audit jig reliability daily and perform preventive maintenance; monitor pin health and cable wear.
• Verify repaired jigs with standards before release; support calibration and alignment when needed.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring failures and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production test jigs used across QC stations (Camera, PCBA Assembly, Device etc.). The role focuses on quickly restoring jig operation, preventing repeat failures, and reducing production downtime through strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend production‑line jig breakdowns, diagnose faults systematically, and restore operation with minimum downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, fixture, power, connectivity, station‑PC, and DUT communication issues; distinguish jig failures from DUT, operator, network, or software problems.
• Troubleshoot wiring, power supplies, relays, sensors, switches using suitable diagnostic instruments.
• Audit Jigs reliability daily and execute weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance; inspect contact‑pin health, alignment, cable wear, fastener tightness, sensor operation, cleanliness, and safety features.
• Verify repaired jigs using approved golden samples, master units, or reference units before releasing them back to production; support calibration and alignment when required.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring failures, implement corrective actions with TEMS, Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Production, Quality, and vendors, and verify effectiveness.
• Maintain critical‑spares stock, jig‑wise maintenance history, breakdown and downtime records, repair details, checklists, drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Train operators and technicians on correct jig handling, basic inspection, cleaning, and issue reporting; support installation, validation, and commissioning of new or modified jigs.

Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience maintaining production equipment, test fixtures, test jigs, automation systems, or manufacturing‑line equipment.
• Hands‑on ability in mechanical fixture assembly, alignment, inspection, repair, basic electrical troubleshooting, soldering, and cable repair.
• Working knowledge of sensors, switches, relays, power supplies, cameras, barcode scanners, connectors, and root‑cause methods such as 5-Why or Fishbone analysis.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, medical devices, automotive, or other high‑volume production environments is preferred.

Key Competencies

Strong hands‑on problem solving, ownership during breakdowns, systematic troubleshooting, clear communication, disciplined documentation, and willingness to provide urgent shop‑floor support.

Success Measures

Jig uptime and availability - Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) - Repeat‑breakdown reduction - Preventive‑maintenance completion - Critical‑spares availability - Verified release of repaired jigs
