Job summary

PeopleStrong in India seeks a QA/Calibration specialist responsible for mechanical (tensile, impact, drop-weight, hardness) and chemical testing of materials and welds, plus final dossier compilation. You will calibrate measuring instruments, analyze data, supervise specimen machining, coordinate with customers for testing and dossier review, and prepare PPO for QA and lab activities.

MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel proficiency is required; ISO 17025 internal audits and external audits will be

Qualifications

• Experience in calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 internal audits.
• Experience in compiling final testing dossier.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and chemical testing of materials and welds.
• Calibrate measuring and testing instruments.
• Compile data and final documents dossier.
• Supervise specimen machining for testing.
• Coordinate with customers for testing and dossier review.

Job description

-Responsible for All type of Mechanical (Tensile, Impact, Drop-weight, Hardness) & Chemical Testing (PMI, Spectro Analysis, Carbon & Sulphur Analysis) of material and Weld.

-Responsible for compilation of Final documents dossier

- Responsible for Calibration of Measuring and testing instrument

- Data compilation and analysis related to testing and Final documents

- Supervision of Specimen machining for testing

- Customer coordination for testing and Final document dossier review

- Preparation of PPO for QA & Lab related activities.

- Good knowledge of material, for marking location in test coupon.

- Calibration of measuring instrument such as Vernier caliper, Micro-meter, Dial- gauges, Measuring tape, feeler gauge, pressure gauges- Digital and Analog, Themo couple, Recorder.

- Conducting Internal audit as per ISO 17025

- Face the external audit of various customer and regulatory body.

- Good knowledge of MS-Word, Power-point and Excel.
