Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and develop automation frameworks using Java, Selenium and Cucumber, and to lead end-to-end automation efforts. You will mentor team members, integrate RESTful services, deploy test environments on cloud platforms, and ensure broad test coverage across web services.

You’ll actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and use AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Claude to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent certification.
• Solid knowledge on Selenium, Java, Maven, Cucumber, RESTful Service Automation, GitHub, Jenkins pipeline for build automation.
• Ability to use AI Tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude for faster development.
• Capability to lead and mentor other automation members.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks using Java, Cucumber, Maven, Webservies
• Lead Quality practice, E2E automation, Integration testing and Mentor Team Members

• Ensure extensive test coverage
• Be capable of building, deploying and managing own environment
• Develop quality automation code and maintaining the same
• Database testing
• Test plan, test case, and test script creation and execution
• Requirements analysis and estimation
• Environment validation
• Investigate issues and provide analysis
• Defect and trend tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Use of QA methodology and processes
• Be a member of Scrum team
• Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Use AI Tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude for faster development
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).
