Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in UI and API test automation using Playwright, Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright, Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
• Design, implement and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define effective test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing to validate application behaviour across multiple environments.
• Create, manage, and maintain robust test data, ensuring adequate coverage for positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub to enable continuous quality validation.
• Work with Kafka, SQL, and backend systems to validate data flows, event-driven integrations, and end-to-end processing.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams to drive issue resolution.
• Contribute to test automation framework design, reusability, maintainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support release activities by providing quality metrics, test evidence, risk assessments, and go-live recommendations.
• Leverage knowledge of Financial Markets and trading workflows to design effective test scenarios and improve business coverage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across development, testing, operations, and business teams.

What youll need:

• Strong hands-on experience in UI and API test automation using Playwright, Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated quality gates.
• Experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, and message validation.
• Strong SQL skills with experience validating backend data and end-to-end workflows.
• Experience in test data management and data-driven testing approaches.
• Good understanding of Agile Scrum practices and Quality Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing methodologies.
• Understanding of performance testing concepts and software quality best practices.
• Exposure to Financial Markets or Capital Markets domains would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect triage skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
