Job summary

BVR People Consulting in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Aerospace QA Lead to implement and maintain QMS across aerospace manufacturing, ensuring AS9100/AS13100 compliance and customer requirements.

Candidates must have 7+ years of QA experience in aerospace, hands-on NADCAP audits, and strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 FAI, PPAP and related tools. A mechanical engineering degree is preferred; internal audits, CAPA, and supplier quality management are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of QA experience in aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS13100 and aerospace customer requirements.
• Hands-on NADCAP audits and aerospace special processes.
• AS9100 Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor and AS13100 training preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAI, AS9145 PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain AS9100 and AS13100 QMS across aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Monitor QMS performance, ensure regulatory and customer compliance, and coordinate Management Review Meetings.
• Plan internal audits, manage corrective actions, address customer complaints, and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA tools.
• Promote product safety, risk-based thinking, FOD prevention, counterfeit part prevention, and human factors awareness.
• Coordinate customer and certification body audits and ensure customer requirements are communicated to suppliers and internal teams.
• Lead NADCAP audits covering welding, heat treatment, chemical processing, shot peening, chemical conversion coating, and EDM.
• Ensure compliance with AS9102 FAI and AS9145 PPAP requirements.

• Promote product safety, risk-based thinking, FOD prevention, counterfeit part prevention, and human factors awareness.
• Coordinate customer and certification body audits and ensure customer requirements are communicated to suppliers and internal teams.
• Lead NADCAP audits covering special processes such as welding, heat treatment, chemical processing, shot peening, chemical conversion coating, and EDM.
• Ensure compliance with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9145 PPAP requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace quality systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS13100, aerospace customer requirements, and quality compliance.
• Hands-on experience with NADCAP audits and aerospace special processes.
• Thorough understanding of AS9102 FAI, AS9145 PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience in internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), customer audits, and Management Review Meetings.
• AS9100 Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor and AS13100 Quality Foundation training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of AS1300, Rolls-Royce SABRe, GE Aerospace S-1000, and Pratt & Whitney ASQR-01 will be an added advantage.
