Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a quality engineering professional to oversee the lifecycle from development to industrialization, ensuring robust release of components and processes. The role emphasizes early concept involvement, sampling, and rigorous supplier evaluation to uphold quality standards.

The candidate will apply VDA 6.3 process auditing concepts and leverage metrology and inspection techniques to validate manufacturing readiness and ensure conformance to IATF 16949 requirements,

Qualifications

• APQP/PPAP/FMEA knowledge required.
• IATF 16949 awareness essential.
• Metrology and inspection methods proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work from development through industrialization to product and process release of a component.
• Apply preventive supplier management methods in product development, e.g., risk classification and VDA-RGA.
• Apply quality management methods, preferably with suppliers and qualification as a process auditor per VDA 6.3.
• Involve in initial conceptual idea and development phase via sampling and release of the component.
• Assess potential suppliers for quality and production competence and make award decisions.

• Knowledge of measurement techniques, Metrology, Inspection Methods, and Equipment

Job Responsibilities

• Work from development phase through industrialization to the product and process release of a component
• Application of preventive supplier management methods in the product development process, such as risk classification and VDA-RGA
• Application of quality management methods, ideally in dealing with suppliers and a qualification as a process auditor according to VDA 6.3
• Involvement in the initial conceptual idea, in the development phase via the sampling and release of the component
• Assessing all potential suppliers in terms of their quality and production competence while awarding.
