Codewave Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Python, architect scalable frameworks, and ensure robust web app testing across APIs and UI.

You will run functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end tests, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, analyze results, and collaborate with developers to improve quality and coverage while embracing an automation-first mindset and agile collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands‑on Playwright Python and Pytest experience.
• Solid grounding in web automation and end‑to‑end testing; API testing and automation experience.
• Automation‑first mindset with eagerness to leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and quality.
• Comfortable in Agile/Scrum with distributed teams, sharp analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; testing/automation certifications a plus.

What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain automated test suites with Playwright and Python. Architect scalable automation frameworks that outlive any single project.
Run functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing across web apps. Automate API tests in Python. Wire automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Analyze results, hunt defects, and close the loop with developers. Review requirements early and call out testability gaps before they become bugs. Keep coverage growing and execution fast.

Must haves
