Job summary

Envirocare Labs Pvt Ltd in Verna, Goa, is seeking a QA/QC Assistant to support the Quality Manager in maintaining the management system for accreditation and regulatory bodies.

You will prepare, review, update and maintain QA documentation for central and satellite labs, assist in audits, and conduct QA/QC checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with standards. The role requires a BSc/MSc in chemistry/biology and 3–5 years of lab quality experience.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
• 3–5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in a lab.
• Location: Verna, Goa.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Manager in maintaining management system for accreditation and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare, review, update and maintain QA documentation (Quality Manual, Procedures, Formats).
• Assist during audits and assessments by authorities, customers and internal teams.
• Conduct QA/QC checks per plan to ensure quality of results.
• Assist internal audits and closure of audit findings for all labs.
• Document non-conformances from lab rounds, PT failures, audit findings, etc.
• Maintain records like calibrations, standards, test methods, procedures/WIs.
• Update CRMs and test/equipment lists; coordinate calibrations with procurement.
• Maintain sample management software; create reference standards and jobsheets.
• Ensure compliance to QMS and ISO standards (ISO 17025:2017, ISO 9001, OHSAS, ISO 14000).

Job description

Job description & responsibilities:

1. To assist and help Quality Manager for maintaining Management System for all accreditation and regulatory/approval bodies for all the labs (central as well as for satellite labs).

2. To assist and help Quality Manager to prepare, review, update and maintain all the documentation related to Quality Management systems viz Quality Manual, Quality Procedures and Quality Formats, lists of records and registers, training documents and other relevant documents for central as well as for satellite lab, with its timely updates

3. To assist and help Quality Manager during audits/ assessments of regulatory authorities, Governing bodies, customer and third party audits, internal audits, successfully for all the labs (central as well as for satellite).

4. To conduct QA/QC checks as per the QA/QC or IQC plan in order to ensure quality of the results & maintain records with the help of Quality Manager.

5. To assist and help Quality Manager to undertake internal audits and to ensure the closure of audit findings for all the labs (central as well as for satellite).

6. To conduct vertical audits on a weekly basis covering all the disciplines of testing in a month, which includes verification of data from sample entry to issuance of test report.

7. To document the non-conformances observed during daily lab rounds, PT failures, supervisory work of managers, audit findings, customer complaints etc

8. To ensure that all the records like PT/ILC, Updating of standards, Calibrations, Intermediate checks, Review of procedures/SOPs/WI, test methods etc. are maintained, reviewed and updated.

9. To update the list of CRMs and test/sampling equipment and plan their calibrations in coordination with procurement team, as per the planned schedule

10. To undertake the upkeep of sample management software. To create the reference standards, jobsheets in the software. To set up test parameters, tests, methods, rate master etc. in software

11. To take daily rounds of lab and to verify continued compliance to QMS including ISO 17025: 2017, ISO 9001, OHSAS, ISO 14000 and other regulatory requirements

12. To assist the Quality Manager in maintaining the management systems as per ISO 17043 (PT provider)

Qualification : BSc/MSc( Chemistry/Biology/ Any degree with relevant scientific field)
Experience : 3 to 5 years
