Axalta is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to design and drive a risk‑based audit program across processes, products and systems. You will lead RCFA investigations, manage CAPA closure, and partner with Operations and Engineering to embed robust quality controls.
The role requires 6+ years of QA experience in a multinational environment, with strong knowledge of IATF16949/ISO17025 and core quality tools. Excellent communication and English language skills are essential.
Build andmaintaina risk‑based internal audit program (process, product, and system); publish findings, track nonconformances, and drive CAPA to verified closure.
Serve as site representative/auditee for customer, regional, and third‑party audits; ensuretimelyclosure of external audit findings with cross‑functional owners.
Generate, track, and close all audit records in the QMSin velocitywith complete evidence.
Training and capability
Develop internal auditor capability (training, shadowing, qualifications) and deliver QMS orientation/refresher training across functions.
Manufacturing and product quality
Lead SPC/MSA deployment; guide QC on study design, execution, and interpretation to improve process capability and measurement integrity.
Partner with Operations/Engineering to run defect‑prevention programs (e.g., crater prevention), standardize best practices, and sustain controls.
Lead customer complaintinvestigations;perform RCFAand issue RCFA/8D reports to customers and stakeholders.
Facilitate monthly complaint reviews with Production, QC, Maintenance/MT, Product Management,andTechnical,track actions to closure.
Log, update, and close complaints and service cases in CRM (e.g., Salesforce);monitorand reduce export‑related complaints.
Coordinate with inter‑plant quality for market complaints on imported materials through to closure.
New product introduction
Prepare and submit PPAP/APQP deliverables (FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, capability data) for OEM/APC/Industrial launches.
Data, reporting, and CI
Analyze and report Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) monthly;identifytop drivers and lead cross‑functional improvement projects.
Streamline QC processes and documentation; digitize where possible to improve cycle time, traceability, and data integrity.
Provide monthly site quality performance updates to regional quality leadership with KPIs and action status.
Maintain a compliant, continually improving QMS to IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO/IEC17025 & BIS; act as Document/Data Controller and ensure controlled distribution of latest documents site‑wide.
Review QMS documents for ongoing suitability and effectiveness;establish, implement, and sustain process standards and procedures.
Promote awareness of customer‑specific requirements and cascade them into site procedures and controls.
Provide QMS training (orientation and refreshers) across functions; issue guidance for QMS documentation and records.
Monitor and report QMS performance and effectiveness to top management; prepare inputs, schedule Management Reviews, circulate minutes/action plans, and track closure.
Summarize internal audit findings and systemic actions in Management Reviews.
Liaise with external agencies and certification bodies; ensuretimelyrenewal of BIS and other regulatory licenses/certifications.
Build Quality Culture and Drive Improvement
Run site quality programs (Gemba/problem‑solving workshops) and develop team competency in RCFA/8D.
Deploy and sustain IATF core tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA/DFMEA, Control Plans; verify effectiveness on the shop floor.
Identification of risk and its mitigation plan
Customer Satisfaction Enhancement
Prepare andsubmitcustomer documentation and PPAPs per CSR requirements.
TrackPPM,customer scorecards; trigger corrective actions for gaps and drive on‑time closure.
Ensure successful execution of customer audits; submit RCFA/8D in customer‑specific formats and verify effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement and Audits
Plan and execute process/product/system audits at the site and remote/external locations; ensure containment and verified CAPA closure.
Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing/Inter‑plant Quality on market complaints to root cause and closure.
Develop Internal Stakeholders’ Quality Competency
Train cross‑functional teams on QMS requirements and problem‑solving.
Enable adoption of digital quality tools: Salesforce (SFDC) for complaints/service cases;Velocity(CAPA, QIR, Audit modules) for issue tracking and evidence management; ensure data integrity and on‑time closure.
Master’s degree in chemistry/ Polymer / Paint technology
Must have
6+ years’ progressive QA experience in a multinational manufacturing environment; coatings/paint or chemical processing strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO/IEC17025;hands‑on internal, process, and product auditing experience.
Proficiencywith core quality tools: PFMEA/DFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, APQP, 8D/RCFA.
Proven CAPA execution and KPI improvement (e.g., PPM, FPY, COPQ).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Proficiencyin Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
IATF 16949:2016 background (Lead/Certified Auditora plus).
