Job summary

Wabtec in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer Specialist to join our software testing team. The role focuses on manual and automated testing of our applications, developing and maintaining automation scripts, and ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met across releases.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document results, and drive quality improvements using industry practices like BVAs, equivalence partitioning, and pair testing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing/Black Box testing.
• Proficient in Python programming for test automation.
• Experience with requirements tracing tools, defect tracking and test management tools.
• Knowledge of testing techniques such as BVA, Equivalence Partitioning, and Pair Testing.
• Familiarity with V&V, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Position Name: Quality Assurance Engineer Specialist

Location: WITEC, Bengaluru

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting manual and automated testing on our software applications to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and update scripts to automate testing processes, ensuring they are both efficient and effective.
• Identify, analyze, and meticulously document test results.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective strategies.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business requirements and the technical aspects of software testing
• Verify that software applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform thorough post-release and post-implementation testing.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with various teams to identify root causes and drive resolutions.
• Confirm and validate identified defects.
• Continuously maintain and improve the automated scripts.
• Regularly assess and implement new tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

• Hands-on experience of less than 3 years as a Test Engineer.
• Experience in Manual Testing/Black Box testing skills
• Hands-on experience in Python programming.
• Experience in requirements tracing tools, defect tracking and Test management tools
• Familiarity with various testing techniques like BVA, Equivalent partitioning, Pair Testing etc
• Familiarity in the various methodologies i.e., V&V, Agile, Waterfall etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Master's in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

DESIRED:

• Knowledge of train operations or transportation domain such as Train control systems.
• Good understanding of IBM test management tools.
• Exposure to Eclipse/PyCharm.
• Experience in Test management tools like IBM DOORS, RTC, RM etc
