Job summary

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Digital & Innovation group in Hyderabad, India. You will validate and deliver digital solutions, driving quality across functional, automation, and performance testing with modern automation tools including Playwright.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in driving Quality Engineering initiatives across Functional Testing, Automation Testing and Performance Testing.
• Strong understanding of modern Quality Engineering practices including Shift-Left, Test Automation and CI/CD quality.
• Ability to learn new tools, frameworks and technologies quickly to support evolving needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive product-level quality strategies, release test planning, execution governance and quality reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architects and QA to improve quality across the portfolio.
• Apply AI-enabled test automation techniques and Playwright within the automation stack.
• Support Shift-Left testing and CI/CD driven quality processes across releases.

Who is USP Looking For?

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in driving Quality Engineering initiatives across Functional Testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing
• Good understanding of Performance Engineering methodologies
• Experience working with AI-enabled test automation frameworks and modern automation technologies such as Playwright.
• Ability to drive product-level quality strategies, release test planning, execution governance, integration testing, and quality reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to drive continuous quality improvements across the product portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of modern Quality Engineering practices, including Shift-Left Testing, Test Automation, and CI/CD-driven quality processes.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and adopt new tools, technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to support evolving business requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence quality outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in fast‑paced environments with evolving priorities and emerging technologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Analytics or Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience.
