Life Frist Concepts and Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer / Manager for Pune operations. The role focuses on ensuring quality for equipment fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning, aligned with approved drawings and quality standards.
The incumbent will coordinate with Production, Engineering, Projects, Fabrication, Installation, Vendors, and Customers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in QA/QC within water/wastewater treatment, EPC, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Good knowledge of fabrication, equipment inspection, piping, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience with QAP, ITP, NCR, quality documentation, and testing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and technical specs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for projects.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOMs, datasheets, and quality requirements.
- Inspect fabricated equipment and ensure it meets quality standards.
- Monitor fabrication activities and ensure proper inspection at different stages.
- Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and inspection records are maintained.
- Support quality activities during testing and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Verify inspection and test results before handover.
- Raise and track NCRs and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, production teams, and project teams on quality issues.

Engineer: 3–7 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in water treatment, wastewater treatment, process equipment, fabrication, or EPC projects.
Manager: 8–15+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in ETP, STP, WTP, RO, UF, MEE, ZLD, desalination, or industrial wastewater projects will be preferred.
Hands-on experience in production quality, site quality, testing, and commissioning is desirable.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer / Manager with experience in water and wastewater treatment projects .
The person will be responsible for ensuring the quality of equipment, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. You will make sure that all work is completed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and applicable codes .
This role involves working closely with Production, Engineering, Project, Fabrication, Installation, Vendors, and Customers to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOMs, datasheets, and quality requirements .
Inspect fabricated equipment and ensure it meets the required quality standards.

You will be involved in quality inspection of equipment such as:

Skids & Process Equipment
Piping Systems
Structural Steel
RO / UF / MEE-related Equipment
Other equipment used in Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants
Monitor quality during equipment erection, installation, piping, and structural work .
Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct inspections at different stages of project execution.
Identify deviations, defects, and quality issues and ensure timely corrective action.
Coordinate with site/project teams for quality-related matters.
Support quality activities during testing and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Ensure equipment and systems are tested according to approved procedures.
Verify inspection and test results before handover.
Ensure all quality-related observations are closed before project completion.
Maintain inspection reports, test reports, quality records, checklists, and project documentation .
Raise and track NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure timely closure.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, production teams, and project teams on quality issues.
Support customer inspections and audits when required.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, codes, and project specifications .
Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within Water & Wastewater Treatment, Process Equipment, EPC, Manufacturing, or similar industries .
Good knowledge of fabrication, equipment inspection, piping, installation, testing, and commissioning .
Experience with QAP, ITP, inspection procedures, NCR, quality documentation, and testing .
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and technical specifications .
Experience in handling quality activities from production/fabrication through site installation and commissioning .

Candidates with hands-on experience in Water Treatment / Wastewater Treatment Plants and equipment such as RO, UF, MEE, clarifiers, filters, tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and process skids will be preferred.
Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within Water & Wastewater Treatment, Process Equipment, EPC, Manufacturing, or similar industries .
Good knowledge of fabrication, equipment inspection, piping, installation, testing, and commissioning .
Experience with QAP, ITP, inspection procedures, NCR, quality documentation, and testing .
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and technical specifications .
Experience in handling quality activities from production/fabrication through site installation and commissioning .
